About Monrovia, CA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Monrovia, California is lovely, safe and comfortable. The homes are picturesque and comfortable. The streets are quiet and the citizens are friendly making you feel at ease as you stroll in the beautiful SoCal weather. Have you ever been somewhere that is just a nice, easy, slow place? Well, this is like a vacation town that you can call home. And, it’s not far from Los Angeles, which is always an asset.
It is the perfect place to live for those who want to live adjacent to LA. Those people who like Los Angeles but just don’t want to call the busy city home. Monrovia has all of the sunny weather, plus stunning vistas, better air & wide-open land. This is the kind of place that people want to raise their kids, or retire. But, it is also comfortable and accessible for younger professionals who are looking for cheaper homes and cleaner air. It’s got a lot to offer.
The city was incorporated in 1887 in order to keep a saloon from being built within the community. Prohibitionists living in the town of Monrovia were eager to form a government which would be able to block the bar from opening. A strange beginning perhaps, but at least an interesting one. Another unusual and slightly interesting tidbit about Monrovia is that it was home to the predecessor to McDonald's. In 1937, Patrick McDonald opened a food stand "The Airdrome" and served food there for a few years. In 1940, they moved the business to San Bernadino. They didn’t just move it. They also renamed it, you guessed it, McDonald’s. So, not only is the weather beautiful BUT there is some odd history to learn about in town, as well.
