About Glendora, CA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Known locally as the “Pride of the Foothills,” Glendora, California was incorporated in 1911.  The first buzzing of unification started on Tuesday April 25 during a routine Board of Trade meeting, in the course of which it was deliberated upon whether or not the population and wealth of the citizens was at a level that warranted obtaining the conveniences under an incorporation. In August of that year, a petition to be incorporated was signed by 184 prominent Glendora residents. Eventually, the approved petition encompassed 1,440 acres of city limits. The town has continued to grow and change ever since. Most of those early citizens would not even recognize modern day Glendora.

The city center space as it looks today is the product of ages of restoration and upkeep by the municipality. Many banks and other smaller business buildings were converted into more modern commercial edifices. In addition, numerous wildfires have affected the city in disastrous ways. In recent years, such natural disasters have displaced hundreds of Glendora residents. This would sound like a tragic story, but Glendora citizens turned this disaster into an opportunity to help the town’s displaced citizens.  They put on a charity concert and raised a substantial amount of money toward helping the survivors find safe and comfortable homes.

This town has such a wonderful community spirit and the schools are evidence of a strong, prosperous community. The town has two public school districts: Glendora Unified and Charter Oak Unified.  Both of these systems are considered to be some of the best in the state – as well as the nation, consistently placing in the top performing brackets.  All of the schools in both districts are honored with the title of “California Distinguished Schools.” The college opportunities as well as cultural experiences that children can be exposed to with such a close proximity to L.A. is also a feature of the town that should make it attractive to families.
